About Course
It is the practical guide-catalogue of samples for creating felt clothes and interior products. Essentially, e-book briefly and meaningfully presents the main wool laying methods, as well as how difference between such methods. E-book is structured in four chapters. The first chapter is dedicated to different types of wool laying out, in particular: orthogonal layout, parallel arrangement, diagonal layout, herringbone layout, parquet layout, chaotic and cloud. Each type is accompanied by information about the sphere of use, e.g. home décor, clothing pieces etc. The second chapter focuses on ‘cloud’ wool layout method in-depth.
As it is the method that does not require specific knowledge and skills. Therefore, anyone can practice method and obtain good results. The third chapter explains shrinkage calculations, including wool amount but also sample sizes. Finally, forth chapter presents samples in the form of step-by-step photo instructions with explanations of actions at each stage. Following samples have been researched: (a) lamination with viscose; (b) silk fur; (c) shibori; (d) gold and balance; (e) volumetric geometry; (f) draw with viscose pre-felt; (g) synthetic fabric in felt; (h) clear line effect; (j) 3D effect; (k) viscose laces effects. The e-book also includes links to video materials which explain in detail each sample production process.
